Many opportunities are available for adults including Sunday School classes, fellowship groups, service opportunities, spiritual development and Bible study offerings. Young Adults20’s and 30’s -- We are a group of young adults in the church who gather for food, fellowship, study and service. Are you interested in finding out more? All ages, children and adults are welcome to participate in this program as, once again, the 20’s and 30’s group is planning to have a community garden to benefit the Community Resources Center. Sunday School ClassesNew Life--Room #201--International Lesson Series Bible Study Discovery Class--Room #203--Leadership is shared by members of the class who discuss biblical, theological and social concerns. The Forum--Simpson Memorial Chapel - This class features speakers and discussion on a variety of topics and social issues. Adult EducationSermon Shaping--Meets Wednesday at 7:00 a.m. and is led by a pastor. The lectionary text which provides the basis for the sermon of the following Sunday is studied and discussed. Tuesday Morning Theology--This group meets from 6-7:30 a.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday to discuss theological and spiritually formative books. Bible Study - Held at Wesley Glen, 1:30 pm Thursdays. Contact Susan Scherer for topic. Eat-Learn-Live - These classes are offered throughout the year typically one evening a week and cover a variety of topics. We EAT a light supper, LEARN in small groups and classes, and LIVE putting what we've learned into practice in our lives. These classes are announced in the Weekly, the Tower Talk, and the Adult Education Brochure. You can get these at church or elsewhere on our website. Congregational Care and SupportGood Grief Support Group meets on Tuesdays at 7pm. This is a support group for persons who have recently lost spouses, family members, or loved ones. Discussions are conducted in a confidential, small group environment. Questions call Susan Scherer, Coordinator of Relational Care. Divorced & Separated--A support group for those suffering the pain of the ending of a relationship. The group meets every Sunday night at 7:00 p.m. Congregational LifeUnited Methodist Women (UMW)--Membership is open to members and friends of North Broadway. The UMW sponsors circle meetings which provide a time of fellowship and Bible study. Several major service projects are sponsored each year which support their continuing efforts with both the local and global ministries of the church. United Methodist Men (UMM)--Membership is open to members and friends of North Broadway. The UMM sponsors special events during the year, including prayer breakfasts and dinner meetings. Their special project is the church's van ministry. Ben's Bunch--A support group that meets for breakfast, fellowship and fun every Monday morning.
